This is the best naturally durable softwood available, without exception. Canadian slow grown Western Red Cedar combines excellent durability with light weight making it ideal for cladding. Sykes Timber stocks only the best grade available – No. 2 Clear and Better. Make sure you specify this, as inferior grades are available elsewhere. Colours are variable, with a mixture of browns and reds when first planed, which will blend out in time.
