Pippy Poplar
Also known as ‘Mappa’ burr when in veneer form, Pippy Poplar is a very decorative timber that is quite light in weight with a fine even texture, but can be woolly, so requires sharp cutters when working. Finishes and polishes well, but may stain unevenly, so best finished with a clear oil or varnish. Uses include table and worktops.
