Padauk
This is a timber of extraordinary colour. Bright orange-red when first cut, it gradually darkens to a rich exotic appearance. Padauk is both extremely stable and very durable, and works well, but occasionally has interlocked grain which requires care in machining. Hard, heavy and strong, Padauk is excellent for high class joinery, flooring, furniture and cabinet making.
