Southern Yellow Pine
A dense and strong softwood from South-eastern parts of the USA, but also widely plantation grown. Southern yellow Pine is available in good length and widths, which, combined with its good strength to weight ratio and freedom from knots, makes it a cost-effective ideal wood for stair work.
