Cedar of Lebanon
Originally from the Levant, Lebanon Cedar has been widely planted in parks and gardens in the UK and Europe as a decorative tree, sometimes growing to huge size. The timber is soft but highly aromatic and very durable. Often used to line drawers, blanket boxes and wardrobes, Cedar of Lebanon is reputed to discourage moths. The colour is variable from peach through orange to light brown, and knots of all sizes are to be expected.
