A hard and fine textured timber capable of a beautiful finish, Maple is a high- class cabinet wood that combines an attractive but subtle growth ring figure with hard wearing properties and a pleasing cream colour that darkens to a honey-gold hue over time. Occasional small patches of Birds-Eye figure may also be present which add to the character. Maple is also a traditional wood for end grain Butcher’s blocks. Also popular for flooring.
