Brazilian Mahogany
Genuine ‘Mahogany’ from South America, the same specie as Honduras Mahogany, and closely related to Cuban Mahogany. Pale pinkish brown to reddish brown in colour, Brazilian Mahogany is exceptionally stable and easy to work with a medium and even texture. Density is slightly higher than African Mahogany, but still relatively light weight. Brazilian Mahogany is a traditional boat building timber and is also suitable for high class joinery, furniture and pattern making.
