Bubinga
Also known as Kevazingo, Bubinga is a large tree from tropical West Africa, that produces a beautifully figured and unique timber. An intense pinkish red in colour, with darker red to purple veining, Bubinga is often used as a Rosewood substitute, although it a fine timber in its own right. It is hard and can be difficult to finish if interlocked grain is present, but takes a superb finish.
